<p>Twenty minutes approximately in which to choose 3 different periods of history, think of something connected with the daily life of the people in each period OR to write five lines about someone famous in history.<p> There's a separate section here for 'a woman or a child' as presumably they don't on the whole fit the other categories!<p>Then, there's a Geography section;this looks quite challenging to me. Try to imagine you are the daughter of a Kazak on the Steppes and describe fully two days of your life, one in July and the other in December and at the same time describe the country and the weather.<p>Thanks to Sue Bramley for lending us her old exam papers.

<p>Dr Williams'School, Dolgelley (sic) Reunion Dinner in 1950 offered what looks like the kind of school dinner we can all remember apart,that is, from the sherry trifle and TWO types of potato. The well known writer(and 'old girl') Marion Eames responded to the Toast to 'Women of the Future'proposed by another 'old girl'the writer and teacher Annie Ffoulkes, whose anthology 'Telyn y dydd' became part of the curriculum in Welsh schools.

<p>Form V1B subjects ranged from History,Latin and French to Elocution, Gym and Current Events.<p> G.T.C.(crossed out) stood for the Girls'Training Corps which was formed in 1942. Quote from the school magazine July 1942,'Our activities have taken many forms, from collecting paper salvage, to raising money for Warships Week, to marching in threes on the flat roof as a member of the newly formed G.T.C. to asking Mr Donald Grant searching questions about the world situation.'(I don't know who Mr Grant was)</p>

<p>Directed by Avril Boshell, this production of Christopher Fry's play was performed in the Christmas term 1967, all the parts being played by the girls of DWS. It never crossed our minds for a moment to wonder why we ended up playing both men and women. It was just the way it was.
