Prize Day 1885 and Prizes for the Year 1884

Miss Pritchard, Miss Tritton and Mr Griffiths performed the Overture to Don Juan by Mozart. This was followed by choral pieces and 'pianoforte solos'. Prizes were then distributed by the Chair of Governors, Samuel Holland. This was followed by more musical entertainment from Miss Pritchard, Mr Griffiths, Miss Lawford and Miss Madge Roberts. Everyone sang 'God Save the Queen'.

After the concert a 'Champions Tennis Racquet' was played for. This was given by the poet Lewis Morris.

Form prizes and 'Good Conduct'prizes for the year 1884 included 'The Boys Mabinogian', 'Green's Short History of the English People', 'Waverley', 'Ivanhoe','Lorna Doone'and 'The Universe'or 'The Infinitely Great and the Infinitely Small, Illustrated'.
