I was very happy in DWS, probably because we had so much time for hockey, cricket, tennis,netball and gym which were all my favourite pastimes! I remember playing several hockey matches against Aberystwyth University usually held on Rag Day. Apart from having the Welsh international playing against me,their centre half was 6 foot tall to my 4ft 11 and they always won, we had very enjoyable day. Tea at the Union was a treat and we arrived back in school with our hats covered in squashed tomatoes - great fun!!
