Yes! Even in those days the school fees kept increasing! But were we aware of all the little "extra" costs like buns at break, bed linen, laundry, extra fruit, our own jam, then of course the piano, violin, cello lessons, elocution, extra dancing and voice. Can anyone remember someone taking voice lessons?
